Nurse Practitioner - Post-Acute Care New

TeamHealth is hiring a part-time nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) to work weekends (flexibility to work 1 to 2 days a weekend,  to 4 weekends a month) providing primary care in a skilled nursing facility environment in the Tacoma area. Key Responsibilities: 

• Perform primary care in a skilled nursing facility setting for short-term and long-term patients
• Manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement plan of care
• Order and interpret lab results
• Prescribe and monitor medications
• Consult with physicians and coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers
• Educate patients and their caregivers on coping skills to handle chronic and age-related 

Requirements: 

• 6 or more months of experience in primary care
• Post-acute care experience a plus but not required
• Active and unrestricted nurse practitioner license in the state of Washington
• Active and unrestricted DEA for the state of Washington

Our compensation is a productivity-based model (Fee for Service) that offers you control to maximize your income potential. Expected compensation is estimated salary range of $60,000 to $72,000 annually with no cap on productivity income potential. This part-time role is not benefit eligible.
