More than 50 hereditary cancer syndromes have been described. The majority of these are caused by highly penetrant mutations that are inherited in a dominant fashion. The list below includes some of the more common inherited cancer syndromes for which genetic testing is available, the gene(s) that are mutated in each syndrome, and the cancer types most often associated with these syndromes. 

Myraid laboratories is please to present a dinner program discussing hereditary cancer screening in your clinical practice. At the conclusion of this presentation you will:

  • Learn to identify patients at highest risk for cancerusing simple screening questions

  • Understand the key medical management implications of a family history of cancer.

  • Awareness of clinical resources to help providers & patients with pre-test / post-test clinical support (including all insurance pre-authorizations). 

  • Learn about financial assistance programs helping improve access to genetic evaluation for all patients’ regards of insurance coverage.

We will start with a reception and happy hour from 5:30- 6:30 with the program starting at 6:30 PM
